Jongkong Goodness

Jongkong Goodness is a Halal home-based vendor in Singapore specializing in traditional Malay delicacy the kueh Jongkong and deep-fried tahu bergedil. Founded by Shikin, Jongkong Goodness takes after the name of the fragrant and silky-smooth pandan-infused pudding!

These jongkongs are made from a thin batter of rice and tapioca flour, coconut milk, pandan, and gula Melaka (palm sugar). We love the smooth consistency of the pudding with its bright green paste. Topping it off with a pool of gula Melaka, dig into the coconut-based kueh jongkong and you’d taste the delicate flavours of earthy gula Melaka and creamy coconut!

A great way to enjoy these desserts is to firstly store them in the fridge. That way, you’d be enjoying a cold version of these and to consume especially during hot days, these kueh jongkongs are most welcomed!

The tahu bergedil is also a delight. Deep fried to golden brown, the outside is crisp with the mashed potatoes inside soft and fragrant particularly because it’s infused with other fresh ingredients like shallots, onions, beef and white pepper!

Dip them in the spicy sambal kicap manis, it’s really heavenly!
