Unless you’ve been living under the rock, you would have at least heard about the famous Halal Samyang Noodles in Malaysia and Singapore.
The Halal Korean buldak-bokkeum-myeon or Fire noodles is something not to be messed with because they are really really spicy! You have got to try one of these Halal Samyang Noodles to believe it.
Cooked at home, these instant noodles are known to be one of the spiciest ramyeon available in the Korean market.
Another interesting fact is that the Halal Samyang noodles were made famous due to the Fire Noodle Challenge! This was a viral challenge where people film themselves attempting to complete a bowl of buldak-bokkeum-myeon! It continues to be so popular today that even Malaysian celebrities including Nur Edlynn Zamileen Muhammad Amin (or affectionately known as Cik B) participates in the Fire Noodle Challenge.
Halal Samyang Food obtained a halal certificate for buldak-bokkeum-myeon from the Korea Muslim Federation Halal Committee in November 2016.
Since its worldwide popularity, supermarkets have stock the instant noodles everywhere. But do take caution as not all of these instant noodles are halal. Be sure to look out for the Halal label on the Korean noodles before purchasing them!
