Rest assured that Seoul Garden Hotpot outlets are indeed halal-certified by JAKIM<\/a> (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia)*. Yes,\u00a0 all ingredients including meats and sauces are Halal-certified. No alcohol is sold or used in the preparation and cooking of its food.<\/p>\n

To be Halal-certified, it\u2019s not just about the ingredients used. It also involves the practices of preparing and cooking food in an environment that adheres strictly to Islamic regulations. Many cafe and restaurant owners we spoke to have lamented on the thorough checks before getting Halal-certified. This goes the same for Halal Seoul Garden.<\/p>\n

For instance, contents of ingredients are not only scrutinised. Manufacturers and suppliers of those ingredients are also checked. The Halal certification for the ingredients including the product specification for critical ingredients are also verified. Copies of identity cards and offer letter for two Muslims with Malaysian citizenship at the production area, or chef at the food outlet\/premise or checker for the slaughter house are also needed when applying for the Halal certificate. Slaughtering certificates for the slaughterer are also required.<\/p>\n
