El Carbón® a MUIS Halal-Certified authentic charcoal grill concept, delivers one of the best Halal Western food that we’ve experience so far. Decked with a scrumptious menu of Asian-Western food fare, we’re certain you’ll be feasting from starters to desserts. There’s just so much to choose from that the menu caters well to the young and old.

To add to an already outstanding menu, El Carbón® has just released six new favourites. These are:

1.Grilled Chicken Parmesan – S$9.50
Spaghetti Aglio Olio, Corn Cob, Mesclun Salad with Marinara Sauce

This pasta obsession has gotten us thinking over and over again! We love the pleasant and slight warm heat with the right balance of garlic-and-oil flavour of the well done Aglio Olio. When paired with the Melted Parmesan Cheese Chicken, it’s a wonderful marriage of umami, garlicky cheesy flavours! With the juicy Corn Cob and fresh Mesclun Salad, it’s a delicious touch of sweetness to the whole repertoire!

2.Beef Forager Burger – S$13.90
Charcoal Bun, Beef Patty, Sautéed Mushroom, Truffle Oil, Caramelised Onion, Cheddar Cheese, Thick-cut Fries, Mesclun Salad with Teriyaki Mayonnaise and Black Pepper Sauce

Firstly, the size of this Beef Forager Burger is huge. We could easily share it. However we decided not to upon the first bite! This burger is an absolute juicy beef steakhouse! Wide and thick, the beef patty burger is packed with flavours and reliably juicy, even when cooked to well-done. Nicely browned on each side, we love the combination of tastes and textures – sweet, sour, salt – with a bit of earthy and nutty flavours from the sautéed mushrooms and truffle oil used in its recipe. The black charcoal sesame soft buns certainly add a distinct aesthetic advantage to the whole look! With the side Mesclun Salad, it’s refreshing and satisfying!

3. Mixed Grill Platter – S$34.90
Signature Roasted Half Chicken, Grilled Lamb Chop, Grilled Tiger Prawn, Grilled Sambal Seabass, Onion Ring, Corn Cob, Mesclun Salad with Trio of Black Pepper, Kicap Manis Sauces and Creamy Chicken Gravy

The combination of two cuisines means the blend of Asian and Western flavours and we certainly appreciate that in this Mixed Grill Platter. The Sambal used in the perfectly grilled Seabass is exceptional. With a spicy kick, we get a plethora of flavours coming from the use of spices including garlic, ginger and herby lemongrass! We love the dollop of sweet, sour and spicy sambal! The Kicap manis sauce that accompanies the fragrant roasted chicken, grilled lamb chop and Tiger prawns was also tasty and addictive!

4. Spicy Seafood Arrabbiata – S$8.50
Spaghetti, Chilli Padi, Pitted Black Olive, Clam, Prawn, Squid in Marinara Sauce
This delicious seafood dish is in an outstanding Arrabbiata spicy tomato sauce. This dish plays off the spiciness by pairing it with sweet and succulent. The sweet taste of prawns, clams and squid is the perfect foil to the spicy chilli padi tomato sauce in this dish!

5. Grilled Sambal Seabass – $11.00
With Homemade Sambal on Rice and Mesclun Salad, served on Banana Leaf
Truly, the star of the dish – Sambal Seabass – is beautifully grilled with a generous portion of sambal slathered all over. It has the perfect balance of spices and chilli that’s so fragrant it’s a must to finish all of its sambal goodness!

6. Garlic Prawn Ricebowl – $8.00
With Buttered Corn Kernels, Mesclun Salad and Garlic Butter
Kids-friendly too, the Garlic Prawn Ricebowl is also a clear winner! A wonderful flavour to savour, this is a must try especially when you’re one who love the garlic’s fragrance and prawn’s unique sweetness all in one. The mix of flavours gives this dish its pleasant savoury taste that will keep you wanting more!
